20081005 01 Chicago Ska trip day 2 part 1 of 2

LOS VICIOS DE PAPA were the first band on Sunday afternoon. I got there after they started. I liked them a lot. Lots of percusion and the guitar player had cool effects on his pedals. It made me dance without beer and sweat out some of the previous night’s poisons.

I took a trip for my birthday to see Dr. Ring Ding, Roy Ellis, and Monkey. Day 3 of 2008’s best ska and reggae fest! ALL AGES MATINEE- Legendary German ska/reggae/dancehall singer DR RING DING, MONKEY, SKAPONE, and LOS VICIOS DE PAPA.

There was no encore and the club shooed us out pretty quickly to get ready for LAMF battle of the bands.
